Den · Calm Sounds for Dogs

An easier afternoon for your dog.

Pick the moment, press play. Den is organized around the things that actually set dogs off — thunder, fireworks, the car, the vet, the doorbell — with a sound and a plan for each. It even notices when your phone connects to the car and offers the Car Ride session before you pull out.

$1.99 · one-time purchase · no subscription · iPhone, iPad, and Android

The Den home screen with six scenarios: Thunderstorm, Fireworks, Rest and Settle, Car Ride, New Places, and Doorbell and Knocks.

Six scenarios, one tap each

Thunderstorm

Cover the rumble, settle the shakes.

Fireworks

For the loud nights — the Fourth, New Year's, Diwali.

Rest & Settle

Naps and bedtime, with a long timer and a dimmed screen.

Car Ride

Smoother travels — ready the moment your car connects.

New Places

Vet visits and unfamiliar rooms.

Doorbell & Knocks

Practice the sounds that set them off, a little at a time.

What's in it

Doorbell & Knocks practice

A gentle, week-by-week program. Knocks start barely there; you sit with your dog, and only raise the level when they lift their head and settle again. Den tells you what to watch for at each step.

Rest & Settle

Long sessions for naps and nights, with the screen dimmed so it won't light up the room. Turn on Breathe Along for a soft haptic on each breath while you sit with them.

Knows when you're driving

When your phone connects to the car, Den offers the Car Ride session right on the home screen — one tap and it's playing before you leave the driveway.

Sensible by design

  • Comfortable room volume — louder is not calmer, and the app says so.
  • Routine matters — same spot, same time, most nights.
  • Tips and Responses sections for reading your dog's signals.
  • Your dog's name and photo on every session.

"The sound helps. But the routine — same spot, same time, you sitting nearby — does just as much. Den is built to make that routine easy." — Phil Marks, musician and dog person

A note on care: Den is a comfort and practice tool, not veterinary treatment. Keep the volume at a comfortable room level, go slowly with the doorbell practice, and stop if your dog seems more stressed. For severe noise fear or sudden changes in behavior, talk to your vet.

Ready before the next storm.
